April has been a busy month for us, with a workshop in Italy and six cartoon exhibitions in the Western Balkans. More details below, along with our latest collections and most popular cartoons.

‘The power of editorial cartoons’ at IJF24
On April 18, cartoonists Emanuele Del Rosso and Tjeerd Royaards gave a workshop on editorial cartoons at the International Journalism Festival. If you've missed it, you can watch a video of the session:
Western Balkans media freedom cartoon competition
In January we launched a cartoon competition, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, in the six countries that make up the Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro North Macedonia and Serbia.
Out of a total of 186 submissions from 95 artists, a jury of journalism and comic professionals selected 44 works for a cartoon exhibition on media freedom that is on display in the six countries this month and next. You can see the selected works here:
